The United Democratic Movement (UDM) is a political party in South Africa, established in 1997. It emerged as a significant player on the national stage aiming to offer an alternative to the dominant African National Congress (ANC) and other political entities. The UDM was co-founded by Bantu Holomisa, a former senior member of the ANC and Roelf Meyer, a former National Party negotiator.
